There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Thanks, y'all for the concern. I had planned to go through to New Mexico with the Three Amigos and was honored being part of the pack. BUT the evening before New Mexico the weather channel showed the patch of weather between me and New Mexico as being that front that spawned the 17 tornadoes in TX and they were predicting wind, rain and bad weather for most of the next day. Much as I enjoyed the guys and looked forward to all the time possible with them to get to know them better, it just didn't seem like a smart move to ride through the rain one day and then turn around and ride east with it for the next three days. So I called my sweetie at home and told him to turn on the porch light - I was headed his way.
Turned out I was satisfied with the choice - I had between 900 to 1000 miles depending on which route I chose and both days of riding were under sunny skies with good temperatures.
Sorry I didn't post yesterday but I'm still not fullly unpacked even today. I'm really involved in a project at our local Food Pantry. I had just been notified that a $10,000+ grant I had submitted for it was accepted a few days before I left and had a lot of work to get done related to that so all day yesterday was donated to the Food Pantry. I haven't read the back newspapers or opened all my mail yet but had to log in and get my Spyderlovers fix!
So...I'm home but hoping that Brian and Dick are out there having a great time for Gene and for me!
Already planning to try for the Spyders in the Smokies event to check in with everyone I've met this Spring so far.
P.S. to Joe (X), MO LEE, Bumblebee and family - thanks for coming out and having breakfast with us last week and to the guys for braving the driving rain and riding along with us for the day - it was great! J.
P.P.S to Deb and Bryan - my lovely pink ear plugs you donated to me at the Cowtown event made the whole trip with me - thanks!

Thanks for checking in Jane. Glad you are home safe and sound.

Jane, sorry I didn't get to meet you - it was a very sensible choice you made - though it turned out the guys had good weather. Not sure if you would of had rain on the way back though.

I checked and the state has assured me that New Mexico will be here for a while longer, so if you ever want to fill in that state on your map, we should be here to oblige. You would be welcome anytime.

By the way, I also work for a food pantry and I understand the workload and the important results it provides - we would have probably totally bored the guys with "shop talk" every time we stopped anywhere.

Take care and do good.

Tom

Glad to hear your home safe Jane. :2thumbs: The weather in TX that day was terrible.
And you're to be commended for your work with the food pantry:clap:

That was a smart move Jane.. You are a wonderful person and I enjoyed the breakfast in Lebanon.

Thanks Tom (and Mo Lee and Joe). I was looking forward to meeting you, too. Now that I've posted my "states visited" map, seeing those three white ones is a bit annoying - I need to make plans to remedy that :D. If it weren't for my husband who can't ride because of his back issues and my dog who thinks he should have freshly grilled steak or roasted pot roast for supper each night, I think I could be happy living off the back of my bike every day all summer long. I even look forward to checking in to those $40-50 motels every night...guess I just have some gypsy blood in me. I'm sure I'll find a way to fill in those states - even if I have to attach myself to some other clueless travelers like Brian, Dick and Gene and head west someday :ohyea:.

Jane, we made it to Barstow yesterday. Very windy the last 2 days. I think it cut my mileage 25-30%. Off to the end of 66 today. Had dinner with Desert Spyder last night and they are taking us to Santa Monica today.
