• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I would like to get a stereo installed on my Spyder but having a hard time finding a good place. Does anyone know of a place that does custom work versus the cut and paste look that I have seen on a few spyders?

I like Best Buy because it is guarenteed for life and they will remove it when your switching rides. There is a cheap stereo for like $120 on ebay with a 250 watt amp tuner and MP3 plug with two nasty looking cheap speakers that really honk.Looks like even I could install them.Guarenteed, loud as hell while being clear and a buck twenty, check it out first.

I'm kind of surprised that Best Buy is being recommended for a custom stereo install on a Spyder. I wasn't aware they would do what is potentially necessary (cut holes in plastics, build custom enclosures, etc.) to put a nice system in a Spyder. If they do, that would be convenient as it's easier to find a Best Buy than a custom stereo shop these days.

I wouldn't trust Best Buy to do anything on the Spyder. You need to go to a shop that specializes in installing stereo units on motorcycles.

make em yourself!!
you are looking at 800 bucks for 2 fiberglass speaker pods for the front plus whatever configuration of subs you may want.

it took me about 80 dollar worth of material for 2 pods and 1 subwoofer box.
i can get away with spray painting the front pods because i just need to match the black matt plastic but i will have to farm out painting/upholstery of subwoofer box. i am leaning toward the upholstering to match the brp seat skin i have on. i made first sub box out of mdf reinforced with fiberglass but it was too heavy and big so i am remaking it with full fiberglass. i just got the first 2 coat on and it weighs almost nothing. by saving wall thickness, overall size will smaller also.

this was my first set of fiberglass pods but it helps that i have access to most of the tools
