• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Where is a good place to attach a Guardian bell? 2021 RT Ltd

I've owned just about every kind of bike there is, except a Harley. I have nothing against them, I just never owned one. I agree with your statement though. The V-Rod was and is an awesome bike!

There isn’t a thing I like about Harley’s . A nice off shore bike we can talk lol.

Long stroke motors not only have good torque but are also fuel efficient. My Sportster 1200 Sport was good for 59 MPG before it was rejetted.

And great in the canyons.

Rode my wife 2 up on all day long trips on the XLH883 in comfort with a Sundowner seat (not the Badlander in the below photo)

Must be a American thing never seen them here in the great white north lol

I have one on my Indian Roadmaster and also on my new Spyder. Almost all of the folks I ride with (Harleys, Victory, Hondas etc.) have them. Usually we gift them between the group (my understanding is it is more powerful if you receive it a gift vs purchasing on your own - YMMV :)). Just a bit of fun I think but interesting folklore.
Cheers
Kevin

I drilled a small hole in the chrome floorboard support on the left side of my '17 RTL and put the bell there. It's low, but it has lasted 3 years.

I hang it from the front right wheel axle/strut. I think its a silly superstition, but it was a gift from a friend who rode HD all his life. I keep the bell as a reminder of this friend, who no longer rides due to advancing MS. But everyone knows it must hang outside, visible to the street, not in the frunk, for it to do any good.

It does seem to be an American tradition. They have been on our rides for at least 20 years now. They must work, because we have had no road problems.

I have 2 bells one on each front wheel. I mounted them on the tie rods with tiny hose clamps to keep them from sliding to the middle.

I have to disagree.....I’ve had a Gremlin Bell on each of my rides for years. When I sell the bike, I gift it to the purchaser and have always been gifted a new one for my new ride. I find it to be a very nice tradition.
