• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

where do you mount your inspection stickers for RTs?

clueless

where are you guys having your motorcycle inspection stickers mounted on your RTs?

mine was mounted on the shock body... now with the nice looking WP shocks was wondering if there is an alternate location to stick the inspection sticker?

You've lived a very sheltered life my son. Most have an attachment plate that bolts on the license plate, you attach the sticker to that. Check with your local M/C shop they will have what you want.

WHATSIT??? Mo doesn't have em. Besides most cops don't know what the :spyder2: is anyway, and the "inspectors":spyder: probably don't either!!!

Thank God Flarda got rid of motor vehicle inspections years ago. They were about as worthless as "T's on a boar hog".

It varies by state--yes we have to do it in Vermont and they stick it any where that they can find a spot in the "lower right corner"--it's basicly another source of revenue to help fill the state coffers.

Regardles of your "teats" and how Florida treats them, the sticker is on the left lower A-Arm... New York State is just a bit finicky about making sure that our lights, brakes, exhaust and horns all work well...

wow a lot of responses ... Rider Steve :firstplace: best response...

I have never seen an attachment plate to licence plate for inspections. on the harley I have a metal plate that attached to the swing arm on the left side but never seen one that attaches to the license plate.... hmmm

OK just did a google search for PA... sorry Steve no can do here:

Title 67 Section 175.41(e)
(2) On a motorcycle or a motor-driven cycle, the certificate of inspection shall be affixed in a clearly visible, upright position to one of the following areas of the vehicle:
(i) On the left side—traffic side—of the front fork.
(ii) On the left side—traffic side—of the front fender.
(iii) On a plate attached by weld or rivets to the left side—traffic side—of the vehicle for purposes of mounting the certificate of inspection.

That license plate option doesn't work in PA so will have the next one installed on the A-Arm instead of on my shiny Works Performance Shocks :)

They don't actually allow us to put them on a plate that can be unbolted from the bike... They figure tht we'll swap back and forth from one bike to the next to avoid the inspecton fee... :cus: In Pa., they mention making sure that the plate is pretty darn permanent too.. (Welded or riveted)

Actually I liked some of the other responses best. Inspection stickers are a ripoff at best, just another way for state jerkoffs to get into your pocketbook.

So am I.

It's just that while Florida figures that a responsible will do just as you do, up here in New York they just figure that we'll all ride around on baling wire and twine that's just waitng to implode and hurt somebody... unless they make sure that we do the sensible thing that is... :cus:

Jersey did away with inspections, But when they did have inspections it went on the right side of the license plate.

Michigan...no inspections, no stickers, no toll roads. We won't mention the potholes and the snow, though. :D

oh just you wait MI is so far in debt they will work up to Inspections, Stickers, and toll roads before you know it...

too much spend and so either tax or get it some other way.. :cus:

Here in PA they figure you can not take care of yourself so they will show you how to by state inspections, and then certain counties emission inspections for cars.

when I changed my shocks to WP shocks I had moved the sticker to the new shock but now moved it the A Arm. you can see it has been moved but I can explain it and also I can prove the inspection sticker was assigned on that vehicle if they check with the dealer ...
