• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Where did YOU mount your spare fuse block?

I purchased an FZ1 fuse block and will be mounting it soon. My question is where have others mounted their fuse blocks (any type block)?

I would like it to be relatively easily accessesable for future Mods.

Thanks in advance

I mounted mine under the seat (08 RS). I think the object is to centrally locate the box, so you avoid long cable runs.

Originally, I mounted my extra fuse block behind the frunk insert on my RT. The only issue with this is that I had to disconnect all of the connections to the fuse block if the front trunk had to be removed for maintenance purposes.

This winter I decided to re-wire everything to congregate at the fuse block that I moved to the bottom of my rear trunk. I put the fuse block in a plastic box to keep it tidy. The gaggle of accessory wires now pass through the wall of the trunk behind the seat.

Depending on the size of your fuse block you can also mount it under the battery panel beneath your seat. There is space behind the battery. Since I had already mounted my alarm in this area that was not an option for me. There are any number of areas under the Spyder's tupperware to mount a spare fuse block and it really depends on how easily you wish to access the box to check fuses or connections. The rear trunk works for me, but like I said before just pick a spot that you think would be the most convenient and safe from the elements.

i mounted mine in the trunk, since it only serves my stereo system right now. hot and ground have male, females, if the trunk ever has to be removed. pics in h m stereo thread in mods section

I had originally purchased the Centech AP-1 but could not find any place other than the frunk to mount it which I did not want to do. I ended up with the Eastern Beaver 3CS which I wired my Stebel horn to. Eventually I will clean up some of my LED wiring but the weather has been nice so the tupperware had to go back on. I mounted mine under the seat on the left side and it really worked out fine. The battery cables are right there and there is sufficient room when the seat closes.
