• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Where can I get this?

Don't know..!!

The ones I have seen were sent out to be plasti-plated. You would have to check with custom body shops for where to have it done if no one knows here..Good luck..!!

The custom rear fender is available... (Trying to remember from where though...)
One of our members in here had one chromed... (Again; my feeble brain isn't giving up it's secrets easily this morning...) :opps:

Sting did it!
Maybe you can find the links that you need in this thread! :ohyea:

I could remember that it was the name of an actor in "Dune"...
But I couldn't get the rest of it out without doing some digging...

The chrome fender that I had done was purchased for $400 from Maurice at MBL. I am an avid antique car collector and I knew a top notch chromer in PA (Paul's Chrome). I had Maurice ship the Fender to them. It is not a mere painting of the fender. It is a true chroming process going through copper, nickel, etc. till it is a finished masterpiece. You cannot chrome the fender on the Spyder as it is a polymer plastic and that type of plastic retracts and will only cause the chrome to crack. MBL makes the fender out of fiberglass and carbon fiber which is perfect for chroming. My air intake scoops from Vertika I had chromed also and they are made of fiberglass as well. Maurice is the only one that makes the fender that can be chromed. Now there are a lot of people that say they chrome but it is a spray type product. The process I had done was more expensive but it is just like an antique car's chrome bumper. If you have any questions I would be glad to help as I was very proud to have helped develop the chrome bumper for the RT.
