Me and the "other half" were out testing our new Scala G4's yesterday. I was ahead of her and the ATTACK SPYDER at a stoplight. I was turning on a red light and decided to pause..and that's when it happened.
*SLAM* I got bumped fairly hard in the left saddlebag on my ST1100. I was stopped at the time, but I did go over on the right side. Luckily, my helmet with the new radio attached didnt hit the pavement. I sort of just rolled off the bike and jumped up again. We grunted the beast upright again and were on our way in a few minutes. We did get some "WTF?? Drunk at this hour?" looks from passerbys. :2thumbs:
We carried on and had a great ride. The new Scalariders seemed to work well, even for me with me being "hearing challenged". We never had communicators before and it was fun being able to talk with each other while riding. The FM radio worked awesome. I m having a hard time getting my phones mp3 player to work, but I m sure I ll get it figgered out eventually.
Oh, we also went and had our new key for the Spyder programmed in. It cost a total of about 70 bucks for the key, cutting, and programming. I found out that the dealer reprograms both keys, so the one we lost will not work in the Spyder. I was glad to hear that. So if you find your lost key, it will have to be reprogrammed before use.
We are slowly gearing up for our trip, which will start May 16. Stay tuned.
