• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Wheel Mod: Which looks better?

To me... #2 looks to much like the original. I like #1 because it is unlike any other tire/rim combo on an RSS (Style wise, I am a sucker for originality) and flows with the bike.

If it was my bike #1 all the way... :firstplace:

Re: Wheel Mod

I've been toying with the idea of a wider wheel, tire and front fenders on my RT. At least an inch wider. I believe I saw a super-custom job from photos of the Chicago ryders event where an RS owner had done such a thing. Has anyone seen such an application? Any opionions on how a wider wheel/tire would impact handling (+/-)?

Best,

Paul

I like #2 or option #3 as in leave it stock. I am not a fan of the trim rings. It looks better painted white to match your bike but the original silver just looks like a cheap plastic add on to me. I think the rings would look better if they were polished aluminum to match the spokes, that's just me.

Keep em guessing as to what they saw

#1 on the left and #2 on the right - keep em guessing :joke:

#2 is my preference tho.

:agree: I'm a blackwall guy but if I was going to put wheel dressing on I would go with... #2 :D

I like both, but lean toward 2 more.

My eye's are not what they once were. I would need to see them live, I'm sure the pic's dont do them justice.:ani29:

I have a set of Trim rings, they are still in there package. I did'nt like the way they looked,so there now somewhere in the basement with all the rest of the overflow part I've accumulated through the years, so my vote is not for#:firstplace: but rather#2:2thumbs:
