• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Wheel Bearings???

Morning, Need your help/suggestions. Time for a new rear tire and will install new rear bearings while the wheel is off. Does anyone have a complete list of parts needed to install the bearings or can you refer me to a source? Also, how about a parts source or is a dealer the place to go? Would like to be fully informed on what is needed before contacting a dealer/ parts source. Spyder is a 2012 RSS-SE5 with 22500 miles. Thank you. John

This is from the BRP online catalog.

Here is the list of parts you will want.

30 293350065 Double Row Bearing $28.99 CAD
14 293200094 Seal $10.13 CAD
29 293350067 Ball Bearing $11.34 CAD
15 293300124 O-Ring $4.29 CAD
You will need 2 each of item 14 and 29. These are Canadian prices and will be a lot cheaper from a supplier like Cheap Cycle Parts.

Also note you will need a special tool to remove and replace nut item 40. Need to make your own or some have said that there is a common bicycle tool that will work.

Try this..

cheapcycleparts.com for the break down and parts. They seem to be better stocked than brp and do have a better price. I ordered a set to have on hand and will be changing my rear tire next week good time to check all the bearings and seals.....

Bearings, everywhere

Try checking with any local automotive parts dealer, the bearings will be cheaper I'm sure. Every bearing assembly has a number on the side of the bearing, this number is the same for any of the various manufacturers. They all are off the shelf parts and are not unique or special to BRP. I would avoid any that are made in China or India as they typically are not of good quality.

You won't find the bearings at a local auto parts dealer... Or probably anywhere locally. The single row are only like $6.50 each and the double row $17 from most dealers.
Get new seals and o-rings while you're at it. Done this 5 times or so.
