HowTo: What's This USB Plug For?

Good morning all... I just bought a new to me 2016 F3L (I think that's the correct designation) and I have a lot to learn about the machine. While looking under the passenger seat for something else, I found this USB plug. I know there is wiring available for user accessories under there, but I could find no reference in the owners manual for this plug. Anybody know where this goes? Is it just for charging purposes or does it serve a different purpose? Noobs need to know. Thanks

Well, yes and no. The bike is set up for the Garmin with the mount in the center of the handlebars, but the previous owner hasn't forwarded it to me yet so I can't verify.

That's it, then. The BRP mount for the Garmin GPS has a USB port in line. I had one on my F3 Limited and now it's on my 2020 RT Limited. I never used it but I assume it's for downloading info to/from the Garmin.

They got you covered. The usb plug from the gps mount. Not in any way useful for you. But also in the picture is the customer accessory circuit wires. That rubber boot thing. There are 2 wires in there. 12V live and a ground for your use.
