• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Whats the difference between.......

.......a Sena 20S and an SMH10? Other than saving $100 I can't see much difference. I ride solo so back seat yakking isn't necessary. :)
Is anyone using the SMH10? How's it working and any troubles? It should sync to a 20S, yes or no?

Thanks

My wife and I use the SMH-10's and they work fine, yes they will pair with the 20S. The 20 has better range bike to bike. The 10 S is an upgrade and has better speakers and FM radio. More info:http://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/sena-10s-bluetooth-headset

I just got the 10U. PHone connection is truly outstanding. Depending on the helmet you wear it's completely internal. No ugly controllers on the outside causing more wind noise or damaged by the rain. Distance between bikes is 1.6 miles, internal FM radio, which is really good with the 20S speakers it uses.

Biggest thing on the 20s that I want is the voice activation. And you can still hear music while you talk I guess. Read more into it. Well worth the extra.

I'm very happy with my 10, its beyond my expectations from when I bought it.
if you are talking about the 10S, I wholeheartedly agree. I recently upgraded from the SMH10, which was a fine headset in its own right. But the new "S" Series really are a lot better in many regards. The speakers are better, making the music sound more crisp and clear. The upgrade to Bluetooth 4.0 makes the headsets more efficient and dependable. And the new software makes the "S" series headsets more flexible, and in some ways, more usable. I especially like the new audio override feature that allows you to connect to two A2DP devices at the same time, allowing you to switch between the two music sources.

With some minor exceptions, the 10S and the 20S have basically the same features , except for certain advanced group intercom capability on the 20S.

I gave my SMH10 to my grandson, and was recently riding with him as a passenger. The two headsets worked very well together.

Thanks to the collective for the good comments. I sent Motorcycle Dave an email last night and on his advice and more knowledge than I ordered a 10S. Should be here Tuesday.

Thanks again everyone.
