• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What's the deal with Insurance and riding club membership?

I just thought of something... when I was shopping for motorcyce insurance, all of them asked me if was a member of a motorcycle club. I said no (honestly), but am wondering now... would that hurt you or help you?

I have two trains of thought:

Non member: ride less? Less risk?

Member: Ride more? more experience? Ride in a group... more safety?

Insurance is weird. I just got a "middle of the road" policy for my soon-to-be 24 F3-S. I checked with a few agents before letting "Flo" talk me into Progressive. I think I got a good rate at +/- $300 per year.

The policies went from the basic requirement to more than I believe is needed. That is why I went for the middle.

That seems like a good deal. My 2019 RTL is approx $550 for the year through progressive. (Dallas area though) I thought that sounded great compared to my auto policy (Farmers), so didn't complain a bit.
