What's the best sized socket for Spyder Lug nuts?

Quick question: Just went to pull the wheels off & realize I don't have a large enough
socket. :gaah: What size are those nuts? Thanks!!!!

:agree: 21mm thin wall six point is best some thicker walled sockets will not fit the recess...

Hey all! I know it's been a while since I posted, but this thread caught my eye.

I'm getting ready to do front tires on my '16 F3S...is it also 21mm for these lug nuts?

Also, wifey has a '16 RT-S...I'm assuming also 21mm, yes?

Thanks!

Disregard last post (russdog5681). Looks like I tried to register way back when under a different username that I never used.

Apologies!

Hey all,
I'm about to pull the trigger on a 6 point, 13/16" deep well, thin walled, impact socket for my F3 lug nuts. Just want to verify that this is the best fitting size? My spyder is stored, so quick access to check is not convenient. Thx

It supposed to be 21mm, but 13/16 fits better. You don't need a deep socket, but one of them will work fine… Mike :ohyea:

Huh .. Ok. I use my electric impact driver to REMOVE lugs, but a TQ wrench to install. Figure a deep well, thin wall could be more versatile for other uses. Thx

Picked up one at my PT job hardware store for $5. Now just waiting on me to get er done. Not really motivated with three months left till riding season :(

I'm about to remove my front wheels to change tires. I want to ensure I have the correct socket for the lug nuts. From research here, I've seen a few older threads that say I need a 21mm (13/16) thin wall, 6pt socket. Someone stated a spark plug socket works well.

I want to make sure this info is correct for the 2020+ RT, as well. (I can't see that the size changed but you never know w/BuRP.)

:coffee: What tires are you getting? Who will install the tires? Not sure about the wheel lug-nut size. Definitely use a six-point socket.
Hand tighten and then torque to specs...
