There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. What's Needed in a Tool Bag for a Spyder??

My problem was finding a place to plug in my compressor, it draws a lot of power. ...

Mine came with an adapter so you can go right to the battery.
Disposable rubber gloves in case of a messy job. They do not take up any space.

Thanks for all of the suggestions. We bought our Spyder new in 2012. It did not come with a tool bag. What are the tools in the tool bag?

My new 2011 RT came with the tool kit tucked behind the rear wall of the fabric frunk liner. Un - zip it, and it's right there.
Happy hunting.

JT's idea of carrying a Serfas floor pump in a trailer is good. I use nothing but a Topeak floor bicycle pump for my weekly Spyder tire pressure maintenance. A few strokes with that pump beats pulling out the a compressor. OTOH, with 30+ years of serious long distance bicycling under my belt I've seen no mini mump, Serfas or any other brand, that's worth a hoot for tires as large as those on a Spyder -- that is unless you want to pass up a half day riding to put air in a tire.

The big takeaway from this thread IMO is be certain the circuit you plan to use for your emergency compressor is fused at least equal to that of the compressor's current draw.

Other than the tool kit which came with my GS, a pump, Leatherman, 1-2 bottles of water, Gorrila Tape, tire plug kit, phone cord to hook up to the Battery Tender USB which plugs ino the pig tail installed to the battery, rubber gloves and first aid kit, and quart of oil.

I carry a SAE/English socket set & wrenches to fix my Harley friends' bikes on the road. I ride last so I can see what falls off so I can retrieve it for them.

No trailer here so I can't see carrying a bike pump. The couple times I needed my small compressor it did fine.

Although the tool kit includes your necessary, I always carry more torx bits (30 is your most common, but 25 and 20's are used in some parts), nut and allen wrenches ranging the 8 to 16 mm sizes, and plenty of zip ties.

I carry the same, plus my AAA card, and my credit card. Of course a cell phone for emergencies.
