• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

So what would be a fair/reasonable price for a black 2014 RT-S SM6 with Ultimate TallBoy with chrome fuel door, HD Sway Bar, Skid plate, Highway Pegs, belt tensioner, F4 vented tall & wide windscreen, car tire on the rear with about 3k miles on it, Sena bluetooth module with custom cable and and iPhone 4s for use as a music player.

The windscreen lift arm is broken, but a noboot billet is on the way.

Spyder has just under 16k miles.

According to kbb.com it is worth $14,000 but I doubt you’ll get that much or should pay that much. Are you buying or selling?

As far as the " extra's " are concerned, they are only of value - if the buyer couldn't live " without them "and would immediately buy them for His own bike ..... that seat did cost quite a bit of money - however after a thousand miles of your using it, you may hate it and want to re-place it.... It has a manual trans., this can be a deal-breaker if you want to sell it. On the newer RT's I don't think BRP even has that as an option. Ask yourself " why did BRP stop offering it ", answer - BRP had a hard time selling the manual trans. models ..... Do you know what a NEW RTS costs ??? .... good luck ... Mike

Unfortunately, with the introduction of the newer RT, the older ones will have a hard time selling. I suggest looking it up in KBB, and also getting a trade in value from a dealership (Imotorsports will give that trade in value to you). Then I would put back on the stock seat and try to sell the bike for midway between KBB and trade in value. Then sell the seat separately. You should expect to get about 1/2 the value for the seat. That is what I did for my 2014 RT SM6 when I sold it. Good luck.
PS: If you are really trying to sell, don't over estimate the value of your ride, at the same time, you don't have to give it away. I sold mine at a good price because I bought it new for over $5500 below sticker. And I saw it as a way to introduce someone else into the sport, at a good price.

Somewhere between trade-in and retail. And it's a tough market right now.

Unfortunately, farkles usually count for zilch.

There may also be a penalty for the manual transmission. Loved by those who use them, but avoided by most. I have had six Spyders now. Only one, the first, was a manual.

trade-in... my dealer experience

The manager of the day spoke to the service manager and said to repair the windscreen arm was $2500 including replacing the tupperware that was scratched by the broken arm. Then offered me 6000 for my as a trade-in MINUS the 2500 for the repairs...

It didnt feel right, but I wanted the 2020 so I took it. Then the next day went back and gave him a 3500 check and took my trade-in back home. THEN, stupid me, started doing research. Actual repairs cost was 1200 plus 2 hrs labor. RT-S was KBB about 10k wholesale.

SO, I have the noboot billet, and made and offer to a service tech to work away from the dealer for 1/2 of what the dealer would charge per hour.

That dealer was the closest to my house at 35 miles away. The other dealer is 55 miles away and THAT is the dealer I will be going to from now on.

Bottom line....
I am asking $10k as it sets.

And I have already put 550 miles on the 2020 RTL
