• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What another 5 H.P.

Shiz,

They might as well put pedals on the darn thing. The engine is turning into a big paper weight.

Any good lawyers on this site, Can you say class action law suit. misrepresented, bait and switch

The Spyder needs a 6 speed forward gear trans, electric reverse (5mph in reverse is fine) , and about 100 lb/ft torque, with 120-H.P. without adding any more weight. Plus Improve the economy to about 35-40 range, while reducing weight by about 200-lbs.

Dont get me wrong the spyder is a great vehicle.

If BRP were to come out with a chip? that would give the engine back it's power instead of trying to be so ultra safe and cover their own boots by protecting the public from it self.

Either that or recall all RT's to install turbos.

just my 1.5 cents

Brand new Harley Tri Glide has 70 hp so it's still not the low man on the totem poll. More power is always better but having put close to 3000 miles on the RT's I had I would say it pulls just fine.

But the Tri Glide has way more torque.........:D

Looking at just numbers can be decieving....

Seat of the pants performance is probably very similar when each is ridden in it's own proper powerband........

The chart I saw put the Tri Glide at 80 ft lbs of torque. A stock GS/RS is 61 ft-lbs of torque but they moved the powerband on the RT and that dropped the horsepower and raised the torque by 3 ft-lbs.

The real issue I see with any standard rear wheeled trike is you are using that horsepower and torque to drive two wheels instead of one. That and it just making much more sense to have to wheels up front for braking and stability.

Bottomline is the RT and the Tri Glide have plenty of power to get the job done as a touring machine. Race trikes they are not. :doorag:
