• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What would be a reasonable price for someone to change out front tires?

R&R front tires, mounting and balancing about $30.00 each. Maybe a little less. But shouldn't cost more..... Jim

Big O charged me $10 each to mount and balance and dispose of my old (cupping) OEM front tires.

After reading the other responses here I got curious and looked up exactly what I paid. I remembered the $30.00 figure (see post #2) but it was actually a TOTAL of $30.16 for both tires. Had them changed at Costco and that figure included mounting, balancing, and tire disposal fee..... Jim

How is it that you ride with no front wheels? :roflblack: Sorry, I just had to ask, but I know what you mean.

:joke::joke::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack: I saw that and almost did an edit but decided to leave. You have restored my faith.

Flat rate....

The BRP flat rate manual has it at 0.4 per wheel. That would be at the dealer (whatever their shop rate is) if they abide by the manual. If you go to independents it will vary and then they have all the add ons like...stem, disposal, weights etc....

The rate at the dealer here is $120 per hour. Flat rate for a tire change would be $48.00 per wheel + tire disposal, stems balancing and whatever else they add in. Another BRP bargain. The posts above indicate the true world charges for this service. Draw your own conclusions about BRP and your dealers if that is what they are charging you..... Jim

My first wrap experience, I took the fenders off to wrap but I was getting something else done so I just took the fenders to my dealer to install. $22.50 a bolt. And then my dealer quit because he said he could not sell enough Spyders after CanAm put two new dealerships within 100 miles and could not make any money. Just FYI, if a dealer sells CanAm X3 four wheelers and not Spyders, that dealer can not access the BUDS and thus, cannot maintain Spyders. And they cannot order parts. I have sympathy for my fellow Spyder ryders who have to travel or trailer their rydes to a shop. I will go to another dealer as the last one I took the bike to, left it outside uncovered in the Winter rain and sleet while waiting for a part. He did make it up to me by charging the maximum allowed.
