There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. What would a 2008 GS - SE5 with 8,800 miles be worth?

I have located a spyder that I'd like to buy and jump up to a 2012. I'm a little nervous and curious what a 2008 SE5 with 8,800 miles in silver/black would be worth in complete stock form. I honestly don't think it has a rock chip in the paint. I would need all the accessories for the new machine. Throw out some educated estimates and if you're interested let me know. No guarantees anything will happen... Thanks :2thumbs:

Two years ago [time flies when you're having fun] when I traded in my 08Sm5 Spyder with 19k miles, The dealer gave me 9,500$ And he listed it for 11,000$. Don't know what he eventually sold it for but it sat there for 4/5 months..

Kelly Blue Book almost seems a bit optimistic; but who's complaining??
I would say that the $10,000 to $11,000 range would seem reasonable.
Good Luck! :2thumbs:

I haven't put much faith in kbb it seems they miss both directions on powersports. SE5's don't seem like they're readily available.

seems to me that the 10k figure for a stock machine is a fair number. if you want to unload fast, 9.5k would do it and if you've got time 11k! time plays a factor here!

I usually stay out of pricing issues--but I watch what things are going for pretty carefully. I have seen 2008's stock (New SE5 price was $18,499--16,999 + 1500) go for $8K to $10K on this site. They have usually turned over fast. A clue that your price is to high, is 400 lookers and not one offer. Mileage kicks in, but is not to large a factor unless the miles are very high. I traded my 2008 with 23,500 miles in 2010 and took a bath. But--I had to have that new RT-S Premier Edition.

Trade in wise--a dealer is going to offer $1K to $2K less than what they think they can sell it for. They want to make a buck too.

Accessories cloud the picture. Here--no problem. Those with thousands of dollars worth of accesories are in for a rude awakening. 50% to nothing is the value of those accessories--depending on your area.

I looked on eBay and there selling from 8900- 12000 for 08's depending on accessories and miles. I like to check there first just because that's rear world of what there bringing. The only problem with eBay is the fees they charge to sell it, and there always the buyer bidding but not paying either.

Good luck with your decision
