• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. What will you be doing this year?

Now that the night of drinking and thoughts of going on a diet have passed...what will you really be doing this year?

Try to learn how to actually retire. Been retired for 9 years and so far it has been way too busy.:chat:

Keep it that way, Father. It keeps us young at heart. I never want to slow down. Retirement is great!

Planning on a few road trips this summer. It's been three years coming ........ Watch out Summer! I'll be targetting 25,000 km (May to Oct)

Planning on a few road trips this summer....
Son going off to college and daughter heading to Coast Guard Academy this summer will both, I think, distract me from many (any?) of my own plans.

I really would like to know, though, if & when there'll be a 2nd homecoming ryde (beginning of June last year was the first). There's something to look forward to.

I'll still be drinking, smoking, riding, eating, working. All good stuff.

BUT if I win the Lotto, I'll be drinking and smoking and riding and eating more and hopefully working a little less :) Bigger house, bigger garage, more toys! So my New Years resolution is to win the Lotto or a real good Scratchie :2thumbs: And if I don't win, I'll still be happy w/ what I already got.

My 09 Resolution is to buy more mods and make my SE5 the baddest one in Sacramento Cali. cant wait to get my specialty license plate it back in Oct I ordered YFACTR saw another one todayTRYCYCLE but it was a shorter version thought that was cool too wish them dam Inmates would hurry the hell up and stamp my plates for me some time this year i didnt know it would take four months to get the dam thing :(

Now that I can draw from my IRA without kicking myself to a higher tax bracket, 4 inch risers, hand brake control, some NMN light kits, bushtec hitch, Lee-Sure Lite camper, then look at other stuff. All this considering GM and Ford don't go Chapter 11 on me and stop sending me my pensions.:cus:

We might be able to do the Niagara Falls thing this year. You guys still interested in something like that? We can probably drag along a few of our Michigan SpyderLovers and pick up Director and his wife on the way. Make a long weekend out of it.

Getting away from the snow..........spending five weeks in Florida...riding my Spyder every single day  :yes: Happy New Year everyone !

Up The Coast

One serious resolution for 2009 is to think, behave and react in a more intelligent and human way than in previous years. I must take the "Black Widow" in for its break-in service, and then take a trip by myself up the Pacific Coast. The Widow has all the modifications that I'm going to make: 4" risers, fiberglass saddlebags, Corbin seats, intense running lights in front, red running lights in the bags for the rear, vista cruise control, fabricated foot rests to get more reach with my legs, F1 slider windshield from Marcel, and "Black Widow" painted on the hood by artist Bob Iverson in Costa Mesa. Damn, it's a pretty thing. Old Saraoni will get some snow boots to keep my feet warm---put on the leather pants---the nylon gators---the armored, warm jacket ---the new Hawk helmet---put a few dollars in my pocket---and tour California---as many back roads I can find. And I pray that this new year improves the world and the people in it.

Pray so i can get my spyder real soon. although checking out everybodies mods and pix is holding me over for now.:clap::clap::clap::clap::clap:

:cheers:My wife and I are planning a trip to the upper Michigan in early August, trip to Watkins Glen .Let us know when you are going to Niagara Fall we love the casino there maybe we could tag along

Taken the :spyder: apart today for mods. Putting all the electricial pieces in together (fog, 12V and alarm). Got the fog harness in and is waiting for the alarm to show up so I can get that harness in at the same time

Will switch gear tomorrow and start putting the back rest and sport rack in.

I think I smell a spyder trip a brewing. We talked about doing this last year but just ran out of time and money with all the other spyder outings we managed to get in. We will have to make some plans for a spyder trip to the falls and make it official. The Canadian side of course, it is so much nicer over there.

That may be the only spyder trip I get to hit this year, as my mission trip to Egypt was canceled last year, I was able to go to Gatlinburg. This year I am planning on being in Kenya for the last part of June. Everything else will be secondary as far as extra trips go, as I have to make this one happen. I truly feel called by the Lord for this trip so between now and June, I am also trying to spend more time getting in shape. The town of Kitale is at 6000-7000 feet and I now that is more than I can handle right now. I am also trying to learn some Swhaili to be able to communicate better with the locals there. I will probably try to get in some OT at work as well to be able to afford the trip. I need to get out sponsor letters again as well. So the first half of my year is going to be busy. When I get home, it will be well in to the summer and I will be going through 2 weeks of spyder withdrawal so I will have to plan a good long ride shortly there after. Maybe up north through the tunnel of trees. hmmm. Then I have no idea what is in store for the rest of the year. Just have to see where God lead me and what blessings are bestowed upon us.

You all have a great 2009, be safe and be blessed.
