• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I have a 2013 RT SE5 the battery went dead 1/2 mile from home so not thinking I towed it home what damage may have it done. I found out my stator was not charging so I took the hydrolic shifting unit off to get at the stator, now I have it running again but it will not shift, when I press the shift button the hydrolic shifter does not move, may it be something I did or didn't do when I had it apart or that happened when I towed it home . Thanks in advance for any imput.

By "towed it home"; did you just hook on, and drag it home on it's wheels? :dontknow:
normally, you can push an SE-equipped bike around without the engine running, without too much worry. Since the engagement clutch isn't being spun; there's no connection being made from the engine to the transmission.
However; dragging it for an extended distance COULD do something ugly to the transmission. It's being spun by the belt (and rear wheel) without normal oil lubrication...
A half-mile might not be long enough to have caused any trouble...

Let's see..!!

Towing is never a good idea but half mile should not have done damage to it if towed slowly. If you did the stator work without a shop manual you should get one to help you test the actuator. There have been problems with the paddles more often than actuators. You need to see if the connections are good and the signal is getting across. Make sure all your fuses and relays are good and well seated. Hope its just a connection....
