• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What was your first motorcycle?

We have done this before, but it is a lot of fun. I learned to ride on an old Cushman step-through that the neighbor gave me, but I gave it back when we moved. When I got my scooter license, I first has a Whizzer Sportsman. When I got a driver's license (you didn't need an endorsement in those days) I bought a hot '53 Triumph, but my dad didn't let me keep it. He then hooked me up with a 1964 Honda CA200 Touring 90. This is the one of those I own now.

My 1961 Honda CB92R was my favorite. I bought it from my cousin when I was 18, and started racing it shortly thereafter. I still own that one.

A mid-60's Bridgestone 175. Hadn't seen one before and haven't seen one since. Maybe why I got a good deal on it, eh? :dontknow:

I started big with a 1980 Honda GL1100 Goldwing Interstate.

Intimidated the fool out of me...

Here's a pic of it with my sister-in-law on it:

My first was '48 Cushman step thru, in 1954, then, in rapid succession, a Whizzer Sportsman (I grew up in Pontiac, MI where their main plant was, and went to school with the owner's son) and a Triumph 200 Cub.

Honda 175 SL.. 1970_Honda_SL175_K0_Candy_Sapphire_Blue.jpg It had been laying on its side for a semester bleeding oil.. I took pity on it since the former owner was doing time for having too much fun.. many memories on that little thing.. later...when working in a band, living in Palmyra TN.. I was headed to Clarksville to set up the stage for the night.. came around a corner and their was this big dude looking at the flat tire on his big Harley.. so I stop.. long haired 140 lb hippy dude.. and said // whooo.. tell you what.. you take my bike and go find your friends with a truck to get your bike,, I'll stay with yours till you get back.. he looked at me like I was crazy.. but took me up on the offer.. Imagine.. a 280lb + dude on a MC this size wandering down the road

My first was a new 1965 Yamaha 80cc one lunger/two stroke--purchased new in 1966. $279.00

Honda 50cc step through....I was 15 years old and loved that bike. I have 3 younger sisters, and when we were at out cottage up north...i would first take my 2nd sister 3 miles to the putt-putt golf, then come back get the youngest, then the middle...we would play golf and then reverse the process.....

Same here, it was a 1965 model, and wasn't new. It had originally belonged to my older sister. It was so cranky and tempermental and the only way to start it was to grab the handlbars and start running down the street, when you got up some speed you would jump on it and pop the clutch and hope it would start. Many other 2 wheelers since then, off and on for the next 30 yrs until at last I saw the 2012 RT and had to have it. I traded in a 2 wheel machine for it, this is my first trike and I love it! Now also have gotten my brother addicted to it too! ANd I don't even have to push it down the street first! Those were the days!

There was no clutch on the SuperCub (step-through). You may be thinking of the Sport 50.
