• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I have worn full face helmets all of my life and they have saved it twice. In 2010 I bought a new BMW R1200GS and had to order a new helmet. It took about a week and during that time I wore a 3/4 helmet I had for cars. I loved wearing it and now go about 50/50. I'm about to get a Shoei J-Cruise 3/4 with a face shield and a built in tinted drop down. That will become my primary.

Since I got hit in the face with flying gravel and a piece of 2x4 I wear a modular. 3/4 before. I like the HJC brand. I have had Sy Max a Sy Max II and a Cl Max

Bell Mag 9 (3/4) all summer and I just received our new Bell Revolver EVO's yesterday (modular) to wear as the weather turns colder.

I'm in the market for a new modular helmet and am looking at the Shoei Neotech. For those of you wearing one, how do you like it? Is it pretty quiet?

GMAX modular. During warm weather I take the lifted lid off and it's a functional half helmet with sun visor and full face shield. 2 screws and it's converted.

HJC IS-MAX Modular...
Sadly; it's not my favorite... it's a creaky, noisy little bugger!

Anything would be better than THIS!!! :yikes:

Id prefer a modular but will stick with a full face until Arai or Shoei come up with a Snell rated modular. They are both working on them. Won't give up protection for the feature. Love my full face Arai, very comfortable.

Shoei RF-1100 99% of the time. When I ride in a parade I wear a Scorpion half helmet. As soon as the parade is over I'm back to the Shoei.

Schuberth has the quitest rated also litest, and most air through it. Hard to beat hits on all 3most popular points

Everyone's head is shaped differently, so what is god for one person may not be good for another. I wear a modular Nolan N-104. It is the most comfortable helmet I've ever had. I can spend eleven or 12 hours on a long ride and it is still comfortable to me.
