• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Looking at a 2014 (new) RT - S. The dealer list it for $29550. Which is just a few hundred off a 2015. What is reasonable?

To start with--the 2014 is now last years model. The price quoted to you is very close to list--for a one year old :spyder2:.

There are people buying NEW 2015's and getting the dealer to back off of list pricing.

I would try a different dealer. If it starts this way, can't wait to see what else they have in store for you.

PS, I sure would not buy a used :ani29: from this dealership/salesperson either.

You should be able to pick up a new 2014 RT-S (SE6) for less than $22,000 + tax, if there's any left. And that's with no dealer prep and all the other fees they charge.

Pick up the phone, call around and do your homework.

Heck, you might be able to find a used, low mileage, 2014 RT-S at a good price. They're out there... go get one!

There is a current BRP promo of $4000 off select 2014 models (which probably means anything left) plus it is one year old so the price needs to be way below 29K..

Howdy Round Rock! Check cycletrader.com. One dealer up in NY has them selling for $17K... not sure if this is for real, just saying a number of 2014s going for quite a bit less than list.

Yep, I agree. that dealer is trying to take you for a ride. 26,649 is the MSRP of the 2015 . The below pic is from the BRP web site.
The RT S special edition goes for msrp of about 28,9oo or so. The RT L (limited) is 30,000 I would certainly call around and you WILL get a better price. I would expect that a '14 should be able to come out the door for 24,500. Maybe a little less along with incentives such as 2 year extended warranty etc.

Call Jerry Fisher at Coyote Powersports in Boerne, TX. Good folks with a SUPER Spyder mechanic. Rocky Fulker who is a friend. Tell Jerry George Lewis referred you. He is the new owner, but should remember me as a good customer. There is also Kent Powersports in Selma, TX and Spyder shop in New Braunfels but I can not remember their name.....you did not say is you are shopping for a manual or paddle semi automatic shift. Dealers received huge rebates on 2014s when the '15 came out....that is why I have a '14.
