what should i check and how do i check the oil

Hello to all ,

Well got dam i have not been on here ever since i purchase my BMW s1000rr , i gave my wife my sts with 5k miles , we are going to ocean city Tomorrow and forgot how to pre check her spyder ,



1. Oil Level do not remember i think the spyder has to be on to check the oil level need to confirm .
2. Tire pressure wat recommended
3. What else should i check .

Complete trip is bout 4 hours .

Please help , lol now before i get jump on i tried using the search but 2 things i am not a patient man to read thru all this wonder full information and thought it would be faster to just type and ask exactly what i need .

Trip Starting from NJ riding down with bout 25 bikes to exit 0 on Garden state pkwy to cape may the ferry ,
we will then jump on the ferry 85 minutes into Delaware .
Once in Delaware riding bout 1hour and 20 minuce into Maryland .

This is the longest trip the spyder has ever taken .

Can am spyder 2013 yellow model sts with radio .

I'm guessing you no longer have an owners manual? Oil on a V Twin bring the engine up to temp before you try to check it. Tires,I keep 18-20 in my fronts but they are car tires and 28 in the rear but it is also a car tire. Check coolant check brake fluid level and make sure nothing is coming loose. Enjoy your ride

When you check the oil, engine must be at operating temp, and off.

Be careful on the ferry with the 2 wheeler. A buddy of mine had his M109R tip over as they were pulling back in. Have fun and be safe. Just something to think about.
BTW, I wish I was young enough and still had the courage to ride a sport bike often. I got rid of my ZX14 because I decided I didn't want to make my wife a widow and collect the insurance money.
