• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What other Coolant colors work for F3's?

Has anyone used prestone or other color coolant other than the orange color. Other than the brp brand I could only find GM's dexcool that's orange.

Are you sure you mean " Coolant " ..... Personally I wouldn't use " coolant ", I want an Anti-freeze ..... either way COLOR doesn't mater - other than don't MIX colors .... There are excellent " anti-freezes for less money than BRP's brand .... When I re-place mine I will switch to one of those .... and do a FLUSH to not MIX them together .... JMHO .. good luck .... Just did a coolant change out 11 days ago. Old coolant was Orange, so therefore used the GM Dexcool Orange also. Seems to be the only color, besides green, that we have in our area.

And yes, our Coolant / Anti-freeze is one in the same here as well.

Coolant/Antifreeze

Yes they are the same things. Just be sure to use the correct one as per the 'Spyder information '.
'Orange Color' is usually the best for your Spyder.
Based on the specifications by BRP-CANAM.
They are so called brains of the Spyder Family.

This is what I'm using, it checks all the boxes and it's orange.

Thanks I will use Peak. Now on the F3L is the radiator hose the lowest hose to remove to drain. Can't see one on the engine. Anyone have a picture.

Drain Coolant

:chat:..For best and safe drain location remove the lowest hose from your radiator. As the drain plug is known to break off. ....:banghead:

My Dealer has told me this tip..

Your Spyder and your money, been there and almost did the wrong thing. ......

Thanks for that info on the tip. I'm sure I will get to that soon as I'm setting up a Datum point on my new to me 17 F 3. Hard case your Dealer mentioned it.

Peak

I'm going to go out on a limb and say the orange stuff Walmart has is the same as what I used. As you can see from the price my container is a couple years old. Here are some better pictures of the back label with all the specs. Looks like the only difference is that mine was concentrate not pre-diluted. These are all pics of the container I have.

The PEAK you show doesn't seem to be available now ..... It could be they do sell the same formula, but the Label has changed ..... Thanks for checking ..... Mike
