• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What Oil to use?

I haven't seen alot of threads on what oil to use. Do most use XPS, if not what other oils give good service? I came over from a Star Roadliner and there was alot of conversation on oil. Seems I read somewhere that there is not an aftermarket filter(s) available for Spyders.

Oh my! The Grenade is LIVE and the pin has been removed!

I'm going to dodge the oil question as I'm sure you'll get plenty of response from others. But there certainly are aftermarket oil filters available...

OIL HUMOR

Ron you say the funnest things.....you really slay me.........and don't ever ever ever use oil rated SM......Mike....:agree:

I get my oil filters and O-rings and washers from Baja Ron. I use Royal Purple 10W40 Automotive Synthetic oil. I used this oil for 40,000 trouble free (no oil issue) miles on our 2008 SE5 and now have 21,000 on our 2010 RT, same criteria. Is this the BEST oil? It is as far as I am concerned, but then, BEST is relative. Whatever oil you believe is the best oil, IS the BEST oil.
