There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

1330cc What oil is used in a new 2020 Spyder RTL? Dino? Synthetic? half and half ;-)???

I have to even say the word oil, but I have a question.

I purchased 2020 RTL w/475 miles on it and the bike was always kept in a controlled environment, for all practical purposes the bike is new.

If the oil that came from the factory was synthetic or semi I would have no issue just to use it and change it according to the manufacture.. But if its just straight dino as much as I would hate to do it I would change the oil but not the filter.

Would anyone know if the oil that originally came in the bike was synthetic?

Waiting patiently in the meantime to have Haulbikes pick it up and deliver it .

Did you get the owner's manual with the Spyder? It will tell you all about the oil you need to use in your Spyder. It may have come with BRP semi synthetic or full synthetic. Not Dino. You are going 9500 miles between oil changes by factory recommendation. No Dino oil is going to stand up to that, even if it didn't sare a gear box and Spyders do.

Many swap to a 10w40 full synthetic. Your 1st oil change will be due at 3,000 miles and from then on every 9500 miles.

I will use the "VALVOLINE™ 4-STROKE FULL SYNTHETIC" motorcycle oil as it meets all of the specs and is at a reasonable price per qt. It can be ordered from both Amazon or Wal-Mart. Some Wal-Marts even carry it.

Also advance auto u
Is a good source for mobile 1 motorcycle oil, but you have to order online and pickup.

My other favs are Spectro and Amsoil. Amsoil always a pita to get even though I have a outlet here.

Many thanks
