While cruising north on U.S. 1 on my Spyder early in the morning, I saw two local cops stopped in the center and right lane a head of me with there emergency lights off and talking with there windows down. With the left lane open I passed them at a safe rate of speed.
As soon as I passed, they lit up the blue lights and siren and started my way at a high rate of speed. Well, I pulled my Spyder over on the shoulder and they zipped on pass me. I continued north another mile where I was going to have donuts and coffee and noticed both cops turning into the Dunken Donut shop where I was going. I thought the worst, mabe robbers at the Dunken. I parked my Spyder and walked into the shop and all was well.
The two cops walked in behind me and I smiled and said "I have heard of a Big Mac Attack, but lights and siren for donuts and coffee!" The young cop got red in the face and told me to mind my own business as he was on official business.
Mabe some people lose their sense of humor when they put the badge on. I never saw the official business.
