• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What kind of Canyon Rear Tire Life are you seeing? What Replacement Options are there?

With a Canyon in our future and knowing how my wife's RT/L uses rear tires, I can't help but be concerned with the tire life of the "All Terrain" tires, lack of replacement options, and costs involved with tires overall.

I remembered some time back when a frugal friend was buying retread/remolds and decided to have a look. While not my first ideal option for replacement, they do offer a 195/65R15 in a knarly mud terrain.

What kind of life are people seeing? Now that the Canyons have been out for a while, surely some have worn their rear tires out?

I currently have 5600 miles on my Canyon. My rear tire still has 8/32's of tread depth across all three grooves. That being said, my Ryker Rally, with a similar (aggressive design) rear tire, was down to the rain wear indicators and I replaced it at 6,700 miles.

You might see 10k out of a rear then?

On our RT, the OE rear tire was gone at about 5k miles and we got 12k out of the rear Kumho. Just replaced to fronts right at 20k.

I have good luck with the General Ultramax, wears great and good all-season traction. Cars, bike!!!!
That's not a very agressive tire considering the Canyon's intended use and a machine that's already going to be challenged for traction off pavement?

The thought has crossed my mind to have a spare rear wheel so we can have both types of tires ready to swap out.
