• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I just bought my 2012 RT-S about a month ago and started doing some mods.
I started to notice some things that I do not know what they are or what I should do with it.
The first one is:20140701_191018.jpg

what does it do

here is #220140701_190843.jpg
It's hard to see. it looks like an electrical connector on the left side near the shock

These wires are hanging down and getting trapped in the spring.
I have not tried to secure it yet, any suggestions?

:agree:

Regarding #2: That might be the harness for the optional 12 volt power plug, that can be mounted in the "Frunk"...

May I make a suggestion. Before you begin modifying your very expensive toy, I suggest you get a copy of the service manual (not operators manual). That way you have a better chance of not affecting anything that would cause a serious problem.
IHMO!

Curious..!!

Did you buy it new or used..?? Could be mods already done...the suggestion of getting a shop manual is the best. Green manuals on ebay about twenty bucks and has all the info including wire diagrams updates parts list and flat rate...

Thank You

Those knurled knobs were getting the best of me.
I already have the Maintenance, parts and SB manual. bought it on Ebay for $6.95
I'm going to have to get down there on the Left side to check what kind of connection it is

I bought it used, the beginning of June. It is a 2012 and it had 650 miles on it
I put about 1,000 miles on it in the last month.
2- 300 mile trips from Ft. Lauderdale to Ft. Myers

That one looks a lot like the audio cable for the Sena unit... do you have one in your frunk? It could be a couple of different wires too, but does need to be tied up also. Just make sure that when you do tie stuff up, that it won't impede frunk removal should it become necessary.

no, Doc said it is the air temp and sensor

The connectors you are showing are electrical connection to the Trunk.

#2 is the Fog light connection. If left in the condition as shown it may get crushed by the spring. I have replaced several connectors for people because of this problem. Had it happen to me

#3 Cable shown is the Air Pressure and Temperature Sensor (taped cable) and Fog Light.

There is an extra connector on each side in the picture which I added for my added lighting. All the cables and connectors you show should be pushed up and forward into the cavity at the top backside of the Trunk. It is a pian.

Thank you, I love and hate this picture
