• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What is the orange arrow above the gear indicator after 2024 instrument software upgrade?

After doing the latest instrument software upgrade, I notice a small orange arrow at the top of the gear number indicator sometime. It is almost like the shift point light found on some tachometers. .Anyone got a better explanation for what this is? I'm pretty sure it wasn't there before the upgrade.

That upshift indicator has been on my 2024 RTL since I bought it in September. I think it's only there when I have ECO mode turned on, but I'm not sure.

I've only ridden once since I did the upgrade (and it was a short ride). I can't take mine out for a test today, but I'm pretty sure that is new with the latest upgrade - even when in Normal mode (I don't use Eco mode). But yes, it does appear to be a shift indicator like the one that shows up in Eco mode.

The arrow was there already, just need to hit the right RPM ;)
I don't think it was. I've had my Spyder RT since 2/2024 and never saw that upshift arrow until the latest firmware upgrade for the head unit. And I'm not in ECO mode either.

Sorry but it was present at least from the update before August (July). I got my S2S on the 7th of Aug and I have seen it…. it's under the blanket until spring… so I didn’t do the latest update yet.
