• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What is the Light/Sensor in the Front Storage Area ?

Hello,

At our weekly get together this evening, a few of us 2010 RT-S owners noticed that there is some electrical item in the front left side storage area down about 8 inches or so.

After looking at it, it looks like some type of photocell.

Does anyone know what this is and what it is used for?

Very Much Appreciated

Marc-- I THINK that is a small LED light if I understand what you are describing.

I didn't even realize I had a light. The inner liner was not aligned correctly near the light and was covering most of it up. Not very bright even uncovered. Thought about a different light to install. Ended up buying a small battery operated LED flashlight to keep in the front pouch. Now I have a light to use anywhere. :2thumbs: Just need to remember to always put it back.

You are not alone. All of what you described is correct on not bright, exact alignment, etc. Many of us have a small battery powered 'stick up tap light' in the frunk. Cheap and easy.
