• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. What is the hindle exhuast like?

Hi All! My girlfriend bought a new Spyder 3 weeks ago, I went with her last week for the first service and I ended up coming home with one myself! Darn things are SO fun to ride, might be awhile before my Harley sees the light of day again :-) My question is, what does the Hindle sound like and perform like compared to the stock system. Are there other systems that are better? Does installing affect warranty? Thanks! CR

The Hindle is throatier and in my opinion looks better. It is louder without being too loud. It does not sound like a Harley or a straight pipe but it is no sewing machine either. I have the Hindle more for the look than the sound. A lot of members here prefer an even louder pipe and have gone with the Micron. I think Evan from ESI, check the sponsors on the home page here may have some alternative pipes for you and if you do a search you will even find some videos for looks and sounds. Enjoy your new spyders and welcome.

Just looked at the Home page and ESI is still NoMagicNeon in the sponsor banner, just and FYI for you. Check out his site, great aftermarket mods for you to spend your hard earned dollars on your spyder. The rest of us do, why not you. LOL

Hindle

I have the hindle and took out the baffle. It sounds real good. Not to loud but loud enough. Does not void waranty.

I also have the Hindle, love the looks, love the sound and the slight performance boost. There are other options like the Two Brothers, but those are too loud for me. The Hindle is money well spent, but shop carefully as some dealers sell for a good discount under MSRP and some don't.

welcome

You can get the hindle for about $440.00 delivered...I have it and love it.

There are plenty of options out there from Two Bros to Micron to Yoshi, etc...

I like the hindle because it fits the bike nice and is throaty and will not annoy everyone around you. You will notice a boost in power with the bike...they say it adds about 4 hp...this sounds right...the bike is quicker with this pipe...

The hindle is a great way to go...slips right on tightly and clamps...can do it yourself without too much effort...and trust me, I'm no pro like others here!

Hindle muffler

Have the Hindle and like it very much. Nice balance of sound and performance. Will not void warranty.:lecturef_smilie:

welcome I have the hindle and like it alot. You can hear and see most of the pipes available for the Spyder on Youtube. Lamont did several comparisons and posted them there.

The Hindle runs and sounds better if you remove the O2 sensor using Ken's Evoluzione kit. Remember to disconnect battery during installation and idle for 15 minutes before driving off.

welcome I have the Hindle, looks good and sounds good. IMHO nothing sounds as good as a Harley, but I'm not riding a Harley (up for sale) anymore. I am very satiafied with the sound of my Spyder.

hindle exhaust sound

Here you go click on this and hear for yourself of coarse it's going to be different hearing it live

OLD FARTE OPINION ALERT

The older I get the more I become tired of and intolerant of loud motorcycles and motorcyclists.

Folks that need to have loud motorcycle exhausts (for any reason, including the allegation of performance) are simply self centered and rude. And, in many cases are breaking local or state laws. Lax enforcement does not justify these actions.

I have similar aggravations with IDIOTS that ride around with their super sound systems (like Kicker) where I can feel their bass in my chest two blocks away -- before I can see their vehicle or hear their music.

Forgive me -- but, it is simply rude and insensitive to blow smoke in the face of anyone -- smoker or non-smoker. Similarly I don't want -- nor need -- to share your motorcycle loudness nor the pain from your tasteless audio inclinations.

Save it for the racetrack and not the street -- at least mine. . .

END OF RANT!!!!!!:spyder:

welcome:congrats: I have the Hindle option and like the others I purchased because it has a better look and the sound is more suitable for the :spyder2:.

 Just put the Hindle on Friday night. The look is much better than
stock and the sound is just right--not too loud but loud enough!

I have the MBRP Once I got the thing to seal right is has a nice deep sound not to loud I put the sound insert in that is supposed to drop it about 3db. I don't know I have never run it without the insert. It bolts together and so is easy to rebuild. It also only requires a rebuild about once a year. It is louder than the Hindle but my neighbors have never complained. Of course I have great neighbors. By the way:

welcomewelcome one for each of you.:2thumbs:

Hey thanks for all the great feedback!!! Sounds like the Hindle is what I'm looking for. I like the look of it and the sound comparison on YouTube was helpful. Hey Bone Crusher, where can I get one for $440 delivered? Best I've found was $499 + shipping. Only problem I foresee about changing the muffler is the fact I'm going to have to shut my ride down long enough to cool the exhaust. That hasn't happened since I bought it :f_spider: C.R.

One man's trash is another man's treasure......As far as I'm concerned, not much sounds better than a well tuned, high compression v-twin getting the coal poured on it.......:2thumbs:

I like motorcycles and music on the louder side, although I do try to be considerate of others who might not share my taste....:doorag:

But, causing someone to share your volume (exhaust or audio) is -- again -- tantamount to blowing smoke in a non-smoker's face. Quite a rude and insensitive mindset!

Freedom requires restraint to prevent anarchy and chaos!
