• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What is the best way to lift an RT Ltd to install the Baja Ron Sway bar?

Hi Gang, hope you are all doing great!..have a couple of questions, first: what is the best way to lift the Y for the installation of the BajaRon sway bar or if you want to inspect below the engine and body. On a car usually are points or places where you can place a jack/lift but on the Y where are the places where we can put it.

Also and 2nd question, if you have a flat tire on the road, what do you do since can lift the bike to patch up the tire like on a motorcyle nor we carry a jack/lift? I just went on a trip of 1000 kms and my biker buddies asked me how about if you get a flat tire?

During this trip I hit a couple of times stop road bumps (in México there are one every few hundred meters..jejeje) and want to inspect lower/inferior portions of the Y and don´t know where to place my jack stand.

Sorry if these are dumbs questions but I am somewhat a newbie on Spyders...:banghead:

This is the site for newbies and oldbies alike. The bike can be raised using a jack stand under the body of the bike, though I have been known to jack it up using the suspension arm and placing a jack stand under the lower shock bolt area then going to the other side to do the same. As for on the road you should get a slime (brand name) pump available at wall mart or such places and while you are at it you can get some tire plugs for when you run over that nail in the road on the long rides. There are other options out there but I have not investigated enough to go after them.
 
I installed my BajaRon sway bar using car ramps, so really don't need a jack to lift it up. I had plenty of room to get the job done. I carry a small compressor and some tire plugs if I ever have a flat.

A friend turned me on to Ride On. Even after re-balancing the tire and a laser alignment... I still had a slight wiggle in tire. Installed 9oz of Ride On into each front tire and the problem was solved. Plus, the added benefit of not stressing over a puncture leaving me stranded on the side of the road.

Thanks to all for your recommendations, but what is it the Ride On, a puncture kit or similar, I am in México and I am able to ge the Slime kit but not sure of the Ride On will check with Mr Google and see what comes up....Thanks again...

Hi BikerDoc, just found the web site for Ride-On and seems to be great, now there are NO problems with the Spyder tires and what version do you use, the ones for cars, motorcycles or ATV´s?...Thanks for all your feedback and support!

I carry a can of Flat Fix - just in case. That will get me to a location where I can replace my tire, unless the tire is damaged beyond salvation - for that I have the AAA Plus account. If you go with the Flat Fix solution, be sure you replace it every Spring.
