There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I've wanted to drive from Pahrump to Indian Springs, NV via the Wheeler Pass Road. I could never do that in a rental car.
So, in July of 2011 of my epic cross country trip, Stumpy and I drove up the Wheeler Pass Road and camped out on Wheeler Pass. The next morning we drove down the other side, low range, first gear and tapping the brakes and headed for Indian Springs. I wanted to know what those lights were down near the highway? It's a prison.
I talked to a BLM officer and he said he went up the road from the INdian Springs side and shredded a set of tires doing it. Yea, it was a bit rough, but fun too!
Last year at the owner's event, Stumpy and I did the Alpine Loop. There were some hair raising places we trekked on those roads. Upon exiting on the Western side, there was a sign that recommended short wheel based vechicles only. That made me proud that I did the loop in my four door Tundra! Funny, those sign weren't on the other side and I saw cars driving up there too.
