Here's why. Ignition Module is not a well known term. Last month you were dealing with a bad key issue and thought you were in Limp Mode. Those two things don't go hand-in-hand. You never provided any update on that. If you're still dealing with that, then what you are looking for is the DESS Module. There's a little conflicting information, but the updated part number could now work on 2008 - 2013 models.... I think.
A bit more information about what's going on and why you need to do something is always helpful. But, getting instructions for something like that would be a little tough to do in an Internet forum. So, you can replace a DESS Module without replacing your whole ignition switch, but you will need to go through key programming again, and you'll want to have the pages in hand when you do that. But, you can only do that with a brand new one, not a used one. You might consider just letting the dealer that did your brakes take a whack at this. I'd hate to see you lose 170 bucks.
