• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

what is dealer cost for 3000 mile inspection

Great question. Also, cost for break in inspection. Not sure if that’s worded correctly!

After the pre-delivery inspection & all that should entail, which many get charged for, That ^^ should be the 3000 mile service, unless you're somehow riding a 'new' old-stock V-Twin Spyder?!? :dontknow:

There is no other/earlier service in BRP's factory recommended service schedule, su unless you're getting it done for free, it is 'additional' and may well be the dealer trying to gouge a bit more of your hard earned $$ out of your wallet for no valid reason! :cus:

Thanks Peter!
This is my first bike and I thought I was to put in 600 miles of break in and after that take it in. It’s a 2020 Spyder F3T and had 281 miles. So you’re telling me I don’t have to take it in after 600 miles?
Thanks for your help!

We have covered in detail in a couple different threads, the subject of the first service.

RECAP:

There is no 600 or less mile service for the 1330 engines. That went away with the 998 two cylinder engines.

The recommended first service is at 3000 miles. It includes a oil change, filter, and checkover.

The next service after that is 9,500 miles LATER, OR, once a year. Whichever comes first.

You may do whatever you like, but those are the recommendations per the service manual.

I was a bit taken back by paying nearly $300 for what is basically and oil/filter change, at the 3,000 mile checkup. I do my own oil changes, now.
