• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What is "ATGATT"?

Wear What You Want

I like "Wear What You Want". It's all about risks and tradeoffs. If you want to be comfortable and have fun, wear a t-shirt and tennis shoes. If you want total protection but no comfort, wear body armor.

well your ahead of me, I turned off cable in 99, but still don't own a phone.....

I am not sure if you have what we call sub-nets (or digi-nets) in Canada. These are usually digital sub-stations which tend to carry old classics, movies, shopping channels etc. The one carrying "Laugh-In" in my market is called "Decades". Chances are if you weren't a TV watcher in the late 60's you would not have heard of this show and are likely not to understand much of the humor as it was related to social mores and the political atmosphere at the time. I think it originally aired on NBC in the States.

:agree: with your premise. It is all about risks and tradeoffs. Some dress "safer" than others. Not "safer" is a choice, and I respect that too. I dress in my form of ATGATT and am happy with that. I don't criticize others for what they wear or the lack of it. We are all big boys and girls here.

The very best gear and lots of it is not going to protect completely in a full out T-bone, rear ender, or head on. If an ejection results and you fly into a tree or rocks--it is probably not going to end well anyway. It is a risk that most of us know, will try to avoid, and will continue to ride because we like to ride--in spite of the what if's.

Like they used to say on Hill Street Blues--"Be safe out there."

Forum speak

ATGATT... that's forum code for let's start arguing who's right. You'll find similar trigger words like "which oil", and "which tire" on many threads. ;)

AGATT is what? Somebody told me to check with Google.

What is a Google? How do I find one? Does Walgreens carry them? Where would I look in the store? Next to the Depends?

I'll look for them the next time I'm there to pick up my meds. They have really nice meds at Walgreens.

My buddies TN Charlie, Missouri Charley, Fred in GA and Wheels have turned me on to some of the best meds, although my buddy ssncob says meds are bad......don't know who to believe.

Medicate safely.

Newbert, as I've said before, you really should take a motorcycle safety course. So many of your questions on techniques etc would be answered for you. I just feel like you are not ready to safely operate a Spyder.

GFPO - Good For Parts Only. What some hospital emergency room staff call motorcycle crash victims who wear shorts, T-shirts, tennies, and novelty helmets as riding gear.
The ones with no helmet I consider to be "organ donor wannabes".
