• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What is a bump skid?

The Bumpskid actually replaces the front skidplate, that is currently under the nose of your bike. It's thicker, tougher, and much larger. It also attaches solidly to the frame at the rear. ( Your oem plate just holds the front bodywork pieces, to each other.
As such; it supports the front nosepiece much more solidly.
And you can get it with some pretty bright lights affixed to it! :D

It is a bit thicker, so your ground clearance will be reduced by the 1/4", that was previously mentioned.
But I twisted my BajaRon Front Shock preload adjusters up just enough, to get me back to the prior clearance amount, and it didn't affect my alignment a bit!

View attachment 133968 Here is a photo of a basic SpyderPops Bumbskid Kit.

P1010045.jpg Here it is installed....you can see the lip off the front and the little wings on the sides.

It covers the entire bottom of the front end to avoid damage and damage to the lip of the body. It is heavier and probably 4X larger than the stock skid.
