There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. What happens when you have a break down on a trip away from home?

Always give credit where credit is due

I am a firm believer in providing praise if one is willing to offer criticism. In this case I have learned a lot about the subject of this thread and that is "What happens when you breakdown on a trip away from home."

I received a call from Lev Bradford of Bradford Marine this morning (had a bad cell connection, as I was out in the sticks of the Ozarks on the Pig Trail in the car.) Anyway, Mr. Bradford made it clear that as a dealership (they have four stores in Arkansas) they will coordinate with the nearest BRP servicing dealer and do all they can to assist in expediting the repair of the Spyder or whatever BRP product they sell. That gives one confidence and he gave an example of a couple on a trip some 1,800 miles away from home and they were able to assist in effecting a serious repair and get them back on the road and on vacation.

This afternoon Terry Jones of the local Bradford Marine called and surprised me saying they had obtained and installed a new Throttle Body in our Spyder. We picked it up about an hour ago and made the 40+ mile trip home and the Spyder runs as well as it did the day we took delivery. I want to thank Darrel and Steve for their outstanding work (I've always had that kind of service from those guys and Terry runs an outstanding service department.)

Hopefully, BRP will get enough dealerships and Spyders going that the brand becomes a glowing success. I do look forward to getting our second Spyder, but want to see a few more available factory options before we spring for the next Limited.

It sounds like your dealer is doing their best to get it back going. My back up plan is pulling the spyder behind my f150 when going on a long trip.

As for the ford reference, I have to disagree with you. My f150 has been great, but ask anyone who bought a 2003 to 2007 ford superduty with the 6.0 powerstroke how the feel about ford. Those f250 and f350 trucks cost anywhere between 35,000 to over 60,000 and about 99% of them spent more time in the shop then on the road.

I'm getting sick of FORD!!! My 2010 F250 superduty with 15K miles goes in the shop Wed. for the 5th time in less than two years as the front brakes keep locking up. And they want to charge me to fix them. I think court time is coming soon.

Your dealer can "warranty" that repair and should if it is the same problem each time. I would certainly be on the phone to Ford Motor Company about it. I know the local guys here can do it under warranty and if they can your dealer can, too if they want your business in the future.

court time

Had problems with a chevy truck , dealer couldn't or wouldn't fix it . Kept track of all the records and finally went lemon law. That was a joke , chevy flat out told me that they were in financial trouble and wouldn't do anything about replacing my truck. Offered me 1500 and an extended warranty. Lawyer advised me to take it because that was all I would get. A year before they would have just replaced the truck. Love my Ford 150.
