There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

A guess here. A sign of the times. Prices are going up all over the place. Sometimes a dealer has to cover their costs by doing away with free amenities.

What AR said. There is probably less push back from customers to losing free shipping than to price increases. It's also a quicker and easier way to raise the final the price to customers than to go through the process of repricing all individual items. Shipping costs can be highly variable percentage of final cost on per item basis. It costs less to ship a small higher priced item than to ship a larger and heavier item. And then when you factor in multiple items in one package the per item share really varies from one order to the next. So when it comes to calculating cost and profit on a specific item, free shipping really complicates the calculation.

Oil change kits have always had a shipping charge due to being considered hazardous and requiring ground shipping only.
