• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

what fun gun!

Ok.... I NEEDand want one... But seeing I'm stuck in NY for at least 10 yrs, Andy says no :cus: way....

An air-cooled barrel under a withering sustained-fire burst like that? It's probably wrecked! nojoke
Curiously; I have little interest in fully-automatic weaponry. About thirty years ago, I got to fire a Thompson at full-chat: it climbed hard to 10 O'clock with each burst.
Fun... but not too accurate!

But look at the lack of recoil. Is it practical for me to own one? Probably not, but I still want one...

Similar to the american version of the M240 that replaced the M60. Have shot the M60 & M240 for 20 years in and out of helicopters. The new M240 kicks a little more than the one in the video. But the M249 SAW that we shoot in the military kicks similar but handles the 5.56 not 7.62. But then again after if the shooter ever had to hump that 7.62, extra barrell and ammo he prob wished it was a 5.56.

Oh and those barrels can handle that length and rate of fire looonger than that easily. That looked like roughly 200+ rounds. If the tip isnt glowing yet, your good to go. [emoji41]

Naah, thats why they come with 2 barrels. Most can change without any tools. Just a spring loaded clip and new cool barrel. Now, that being said over an extended period of time it will tear the rifling up. But Im talking about people shooting at you versus just slinging lead at a range. And in that case you dont care how long you hold it down, either the guy quits shooting at you or you have to reload.

As long as the shooter didnt run another belt through right away and let things cool down or swap barrels it should be ok. But in a real application 3-5 second burst with tracers every 5th round is more accurate and allows the gun to operate infinately without cooling down or changing barrels. But they are fun to let them rip, and especially out of a haulling a$$ helicopter. The most fun I have ever had on them, its like a big boy arcade game.
