• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

WHAT EXHAUST RULES NOW DEBATE...

Ive read alot about exhaust here.
But it seems dated at this point.
So my question is what is good for the 2013 argument.

Micron is gone?
Two Brothers
HMF
Spyder Attitude
Tailgunner
ETC.............

Obviously going for the sound that the micron use to bring.
Im on a 2013 STS if that info is needed.

Whats your opinion??

Just my 2cents Two Brothers.

I am with you on that make shour you have the P tip in:yes:
on a RS it sounds realy good, but on the 2013 you wount get the same sound because of the new cat under the spyder it use's the same one as the RT even the base 2013 RS RSS has the same setup I think you will need to remove the cat to get better sound out but be where don't know ho has done this yet on a 2013 RS, RSS, ST, STS , STL, RT and so on .

choices, choices..!!

there are so many more than those you mentioned. U-tube has video/audios on a lot of them. Now seeing that many of us have been able to get one such pipe we tend to like it or cannot afford another one. We have a Hindle which we like and works well without any other mods (juice box, etc) :banghead:

I have a Two Brothers Carbon/Titanium exhaust (advertised at 97 db, stock is 80 db) on my 2012 RT it sounds pretty good to me but a little too loud for my wife in back. I did have some popping on down shifting. I put the Power tip on for a 4db reduction. Sounds still good just a little less for the wife. The Power tip also provided a little more back pressure and now there is no more popping on downshifting. The removal of the stock for the Carbon fiber exhaust saved 20 pounds off of my bike and opend up the rear wheel area a lot. Old rule of thumb is that for every 7 pounds of weight taken off your bike is like adding 1 HP. With around 20 pounds off its like finding an extra 3 HP.

I agree. I have watched alot of utube vids but everything is seeming dated at this point.
So I guess Im asking everyones opinion if money wasnt the focus and it was all based on sound alone.

WOW... didnt know any of this. See this is what I mean its like the debate needs to begin again to get all the good info out.

The information may be dated. But most of the same pipes are available and the engine hasn't really changed. So dated may be pretty current in the end.

not sure on that one with the intro of the 2013 ST and the ever changing build like 8 legs mentioned above.
for example the Micron is gone and that seemed to be very popular.
And im just not sure being new and all if more have come around or if it is
just the same ol same ol.

Straight Pipe for Me

I have nearly 2000 miles on my Spyder RT S and most of them with a straight pipe. I like the sound and performance. My Harley Buddies like the sound.

I wait watched every YouTube video I could find and did a lot of interweb research before deciding. I was getting ready to order the yoshimura, until I found out they changed to a newer quieter version. The older ones are still out there, but not thtough the vendor I was using and was getting very good prices. So I chose the two brothers dual. If you dont care about cost the dual has a unique note, but is on the loud side.

If it was mine given the recent heat topics with the st, I would get that cat out anyways. There is threads discussing ways to gut it orpeople making a bypass

I will definitely need to be looking those threads up.
