• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What do you think your Spyder looks like?

Besides a Spyder or trike, from the front I always think it looks like a Xenomorph Alien from the movie Aliens. From the rear with the Shad bags, to me it looks like one of those motorcycle/hovercraft from Starwars.

When I'm riding, sometimes I fancy myself riding one of these Wazuma V12's. Lol

Looks like my Spyder to me but most folks that talk to me about it are saying it lookes like something out of Mad Max... So I ran with that and did a Mad Max theme with it... If you look closely you can see all the "spikes" & MFP decals etc on it and I have a custom plate on the the bars that says Mad Max Edition etc...

I had a friend who said she was at a rally and people told her it looked like a pikachu from the front. Go figure. :dontknow:

My oldest 2 Grandkids call my 2013 RT 'Cody, the Robosapien', cos apparently it looks like Cody, from the movie of that name which hit the streets in 2013...

Not reeeeaaaallllly sure I can see it myself, but then again, they were a fair bit shorter than me back then, so maybe from down at their level??! :dontknow: They're not any shorter now, tho!! . Silly parents took the bleedin' bricks off their heads & kept feeding them, didn't they!! :gaah:

The answer may depend on the year and model.

When we had 08 and 09 GS/RS we were told they looked like snowmobiles. My answer was, guess who is building the Spyders. I bought my first five from one of the biggest snowmobile dealers in the US.

When the F3's were introduced, I said on the site: "Looks like a Dodge Truck front end to me." I also said I did not like the ergos.

Move ahead to 2019 and 2020...I bought two F3L's and ended liking them the best of all my Spyders. I had everything but a Ryker from the Spyder line up.

When it comes to Spyders, most either love em, or hate em.

Yeah, BRP didn't have to venture to far from their snowmobile layout. Never been on a snowmobile but I bet it requires the same rider input.

The new snowmobiles today handle very well, especially on the groomed trails we have. Yes, the spyder rider input is similar on a sled, just different in it's own way. My new 2024 Skidoo Grand Touring has a similar color to my 2023 Sea To Sky.

We've had snowmobiles in the past, we had two actually, mine and my wife's. Sold em both along with the trailer a few years ago. I've spent many a fun time on these machines and I can tell you that the Spyder does in fact require the same rider input and the two machines feel very much alike. Of course, I won't be blasting through any 6-foot drifts with the Spyder or doing any jumps, at least not on purpose. Nor will I be riding in 18f below zero either!

A little late to the party, but I have to agree with Albec and others, it looks just like a snowmobile on wheels. I thought the F3 from the front looked like the indy cars from the 50's and 60's.
