What do you think of the 'New for 2025 - Spyder Canyon'?

I was at my CAN-AM dealer today, and saw that the same 2023 Spyders and Rykers are on display. No 2024s that I saw.
I didn't see a Canyon, so I asked someone if they had one. I was told they haven't received any Canyons yet.

My dealer has multiple locations, with a central warehouse that CAN-AM delivers too, and then the dealer has a truck that takes items from the warehouse to deliver the inventory to each location.

So I don't know if the company hasn't received any Canyons at their warehouse, or if just that location hasn't received any from their own warehouse.

I was told by a Pensacola dealer that after the 16th of Sept you can order one, but he thinks the Canyon will not show until mid Oct at the earliest...

I would love it if BRP would supply me with one to test. I live in the twisties, and have at least a hundred miles of interconnected dirt "adventure" roads one mile from my house. The weather here permits riding twelve months a year. Every day it would get at least a hundred miles, rain or shine. I am retired and miss riding on three. :yes:

And, I am 75 miles from Lamonster Garage. :2thumbs:

Seeing as how I wrote an email to BRP a few years ago saying they should develop an adventure Spyder because that is a rapidly growing segment of the market and a lot of us Baby Boomers are aging out of two wheels I thought it would be a good opportunity to grow their market; so on that basis, it makes me think I should be the one to demo the Canyon! And well - see my screen name! roflmao

I don't consider myself a fanboy of BRP/Canam, but I don't feel like the engineers at BRP would develop a project like the Canyon with a fatal flaw if the belt drive was that susceptible to issues from rocks. I do avoid gravel roads on my S2S for that very reason tho, but If I were to be in the market for a Canyon the belt drive with guard wouldn't be a deal killer for me. That being said, I'll be anxious to hear some real-world reports from the early adopters.

Limited development budgets will do that to a project. The problem as I see it now is that if the Canyon sells well, it's unlikely to get a shaft drive; and if it doesn't, they'll probably can it.

Unless they have an all wheel drive model, won't be worth a crap on muddy or steep gravel roads, especially with out a rear rider for extra weigh on the rear tire.

I am sure many of you got it, but I got an email about pre-ordering my Canyon last week. Not gonna happen, but I would like to try one.

Sat on one this past weekend. The "Red Rock" model. Looks great. But no floor boards. The trunk looks smaller than the RT, F3 models. No frunk! Saddle bags were locked. And the seat felt like a ROCK! It was that hard. nojoke Tom :spyder:

No doubt aftermarket companies will come up with items that may well address some of the issues raised looking at the number options available for Spyders and Rykers such as new seats floorboards etc
It won’t be long once the Canyon is released that we will see what’s available

The last time I was at my dealer the salesman told me they are not receiving shipments of Rykers or Spyders from CAN-AM.
All of their inventory is coming from stock they have in their warehouse. They have a single warehouse serving their three locations.

I checked the online inventory at their location I bought from:
2024s:
Two Ryker Rally
One Spyder F3-S
One Spyder F3-T

2023s:
One Ryker Rotax 600
One Ryker Rotax 900
Three Spyder F3 Limiteds
One Spyder F3
One Spyder F3-T
One Spyder RT

Their second location I checked has even fewer listed, and the third location is showing no CAN-AM motorcycles in stock.

I'm concerned about not having a radio, they did away with it. Like listening to tunes. Also less storage, no frunk. And they should have gone with a shaft drive. But overall I like it. :thumbup: Tom :spyder:
