There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. What do you think of the 'New for 2025 - Spyder Canyon'?

The Canyon would be perfect in New Mexico as there are hundred of miles of non paved roads here. Most of the roads in Timberon, where I was on my F3 L, were not gravel but 1 to 2 inch rock. I was able to ride about 30-40 miles in there, carefully and slowly. My racing days are over, but 60 to 80 on paved roads is A-OK. The Canyon would be perfect.

I am very surprised that they didn't beef up the Ryker for this model. It already has a shaft drive which is much preferred over belt in an off-road situation. They could have beefed up the motor for more Torque & HP if needed. Though the 900 seems worthy enough.

Obviously, they are going after the adventure bike crowd. Traction has always been the Achilles heel of the Spyder format. We'll see.

Totally agree - a beefed up Ryker would have been perfect. It is smaller and would be better on trails as well.

Can you run these Canyon's on a regular paved road/Highway?

The Canyon information on the CAN-AM website says:

"Bumpy, dirt, paved, unpaved, and gravel: the Can-Am Canyon lets you ride all types of road with enhanced stability, thanks to his reknown architecture, Vehicle Stability System and 4 drive modes (Sport, All-Road, Rally, Normal) that adapt the engine for specific riding conditions."

It has the same 1330 engine as the Spyder RT models, so it won't have any problems with highway speeds.

I'm looking forward to a review from a street rider. If it handles like a barge in the curves, Can-Am can keep it.

I actually could see myself wanting (not needing) something like a ryker rally to explore some mountain gravel roads. But there is no situation that I would need the canyon. Not just because I would prefer a 4 wheeler or side by side in that situation, but because the price point is too high for me to get enough use to justify it. But that is why we have different types of bikes, hopefully it will find a nitch market and sales will take off. It would only be a good thing for the brand name in general.

I will go look and sit on the Cayon. I've had F3's and a Ryker. Myself I like the ground clearance. I think I will like the seating position and luggage. Don't know. Always fun to see new bikes.

Wife really likes it. And it's growing on me. I like the green color. But, they upped the price and took off the radio? :cus: Tom :spyder:

Bewdy!

I like the idea of the Canyon, something with a bit higher ground clearance that's a bit more robust that I can take a bit further off the tarmac than I currently take my RT; but most importantly, I want a bike to ride, and I like to look at the road and my surrounds, where I'm going etc while I listen to the bike and what it's doing while I'm riding - the engine, the gear changes, the tires on the road, and maybe the Child Bride... if she's on the back and wants me to go faster! :ohyea:

I DO NOT want a bike that has a radio or a 10" digital anything with a full suite of needless fripperies that only interfere with that RIDING enjoyment!! So as far as I'm concerned, it's just a shame they didn't do away with all the rest of digital dash & integrated crap and give us something basic, simple, and maybe even analogue; something that does & shows me ONLY what it needs to show me (like a tach, odometer/trip meter, & a speedo); and it's gotta be something that works! :gaah:

Now if they did THAT, then I might buy one! Heck, I might even be prepared to pay (just a little :p ) more for that!
