• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What do you think of the 'New for 2025 - Spyder Canyon'?

I know im a naughty boy, been told that many times :lecturef_smilie:

But... I take my F3 around the back roads, flattish trails, gravel roads, the odd splash and down to the rivers'n stuff here in New Zealand. Much like the environs in that video.

PS: I know I'm safe with the belt as mine came with that belt-guard had previously been lost and was missing.

What could possibly go wrong?

Great, a new Spyder that LOOKS like an adventure bike but cannot actually operate off road or even on gravel. BRP really does think its customers are downright stupid.

Oh, and at a price 2x of a Ryker Rallye that CAN actually drive a gravel road.

:ohyea:... I am ready to see the 2025 Spyders. The prices and colors are going to be a surprise. I know everything is going up these days. Bring them on and let's see.

It's all posted on the Can Am site. Don't get your hopes up. They also dropped the base model F3.

Dropped or upgraded the F3 for more ground clearance.
Their touts must have been shadowing me when I was "out and about"

The comment on the traction. Yep, its lacking for me now and again. Sometimes I give a tricky bit a crack at a sensible speed. If it spins up, I back up, and decide if I can fang it through with a bit of a run up. Yep, provided the other side is reasonable.... well, I fang it and keep it sorta online most of the time. Ye Ha.

Cool! An adventure type of 3 wheeler to the 1330cc engine size! Truly extremely customizable package for storage. For those that luv the biggest Ryker 900 Rally, they will have to get the Canyon. Gunn Ho toward ALASKA, to infinity and beyond with 10" ground clearance, but with a belt final drive!!

I was thinking the same thoughts.

At first look, I like it.

At first thought I was thinking $45K for the top of the line. I was wrong. A later post showed $33K for the TOL package.

It looks like it could be interesting. Not sure about the "off road" capabilities, but they showed that in the ad. :dontknow:

I will NOT be buying one as my motorcycling days are over. But, I will give them a chance and am looking forward to hearing from new owners with reviews. Hoping BRP has their act together this go around. I see they were touting ACP and now four road options with the push of a button. If they pull it off, I think they will have a winner. :firstplace:

I think there was some extra protection mentioned. Otherwise, the after-market will help out?

GOMWA,

They did mention the extra protection on the front. The ground clearance is 10 inches.

Has anyone noticed the fuel capacity on the canyons or is it the normal 7.2 US Gallons of the current models.

The Canyon has 7.1 Gallons (USA). Uses premium gas.

Also, the Canyon has 4 drive modes, and they are: Sport, All-Road, Rally, Normal.

I heard the same thing, that it has 115 HP.

Needs snow tires.

You might want to check out the 'New' tires they've got first, they look like they might have a fairly useful tread pattern, but as for the rest... :dontknow:

BTW, has anyone else who's read thru the specs on the Canyon range noticed that once again, BRP have done a pretty crappy 'cut-and-paste' job and there's more'n just a couple of things in there that CLEARLY apply to 'other Spyder models' and just as clearly DO NOT apply to the Canyon's?? :gaah: They're in there! :banghead:

If you download the PDF spec sheet for the Canyon it says this:

Custom Drive Mode

In addition to the 4 Drive Modes, the Canyon Redrock
allows you to create and save a personalized Drive
Mode, adjusting the stability system, power steering,
engine and even suspension to suit your preferences.

The website clearly states that it is 115 HP with belt drive. Also, 6.3" of ground clearance, not 10" as some have said. It's interesting the front wheels are now 16" with a 155 width, instead of the previous 165, but the rear tire is exactly the same specs. Another thing that struck me, is there is no frunk whatsoever. That seems like another miss to me. To me, it's kind of cool, but that's about it.

I wonder how this thing will do in the snow? There are times in my neck of the woods during early Spring when I've gone riding and have had a section of the road with snow. Even going slowly the Spyder RTL can't handle it (no traction).

Website inaccurate, my dealer was at the show . It’s a true 10 plus inch ground clearance . Plus over 10 inches of suspension travel . Not bad .

Oh my gosh!

This design is calling me......

I need to resist the urge to buy this......I need to resist the urge to buy this.......I need to resist the urge to buy this.......

Afraid of the cost though.... :gaah:

EDIT: Starts at $25300 (Base), $29800 (XT) and $32300 (Redrock) - not including all the usual stuff like transportation, fees, etc. or the worst of all- Accessories... :yikes:

This looks REALLY cool, even for on road and commuting.

EDIT 2: The Canyon or some street version is what the 2024 Spyder's should have been. After playing with the customize feature on the website, and then outfitting the XT and Redrock as close as possible, you are paying over $2K for the Redrock's suspension! I know good suspensions are not cheap, but $2K or more?
