• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What do you guys think about this trike?

A couple years back, I was in the camp that was saying if Honda came out with a factory GW reverse trike, I would probably be one of the first customers. Mostly due to the 1800 cc engine and quieter operation.

The fact that the item is an aftermarket kit, that most Honda dealers won't even touch triked GW's with nationally known and established companies, makes me now change to the "I am very happy with my new 2014 :spyder2:." I even saved about $10K in the process.

I was at my CanAm dealers yesterday (he is also the local Honda dealer) and we were talking about this. He said if it was a "factory" build, he'd service it, otherwise no. Since the bike has been modified you are at the mercy of the dealer as to if he'll service the bike part of the trike or not and he chooses not to because of the liability.

Like you, if Honda did a factory trike built on the GW (with a warranty and dealer support), I'd be interested simply because I had a wing before and it was a trouble free bike. But, having said that, I'm not unhappy with my CanAm. I've had no problems with my 2014 and I believe that CanAm is trying to "improve" the product. I also think they are in it for the long run. Have they made some mistakes along the way? Definitely, But I can think of very few companies that haven't while they develop a new concept.

For now, I'll stick with CanAm simply because there's not another product out there that compares with it.

competition ?

As a member of GWRRA ( exwing rider ) I get Wingworld magazine and this month's issue has an article about the new kit. Some of it is misleading , .......plenty of Honda dealers, if you can find one that will work on it , price of $15k compared to spyder $30k.................if you already have a wing . They did not bash the spyder and it did give some comparisons on mpg etc.. Last month the mechanic guru for Wingworld ( I'd say he's the Goldwings Lamont ) even gave advice to female riders that if they are too small for a wing , to test ride a spyder.
