Just wondering, on a motorcycle you have separate front and rear brakes, so if one quits you can still stop. My question is, what do you do if the Spyder master quits, and you have to stop fast?
As other's have mentioned, it's
pretty unlikely that you'll suddenly lose
ALL you braking circuits at the same time without some prior warning; but in the unlikely event, once again as others have mentioned: remain calm; don't panic;
look at WHERE you WANT TO GO & not at what you want to avoid; throttle off; change down; & if you still need to stop even quicker, aim at the nearest 'soft landing', or if there's nothing 'soft' available, maybe even aim for a glancing blow/sliding stop on anything harder!! nojoke
And in the unlikely event that you this happens and you even have time to
think about it,
let alone do it, I'd
strongly suggest that unless death is imminent,
DON'T even attempt to bail until your speed is down below about 25 mph or so; and even then, tuck & roll early, & be prepared for some pretty bad bruises & possibly some extensive skin loss, maybe even a broken bone or two! :shocked: Wearing ATGATT will help with minimising the skin loss, especially if you're going slower than 25 mph-ish; and armour can lessen but not remove your chances of destroying those major joints & bone structures they're covering! But while you
might be lucky enough to walk away from bailing at 25 mph-ish, bailing at anything much faster than that
WILL hurt,
a LOT, and for every Mile per Hour faster that you're going when you hit the ground (or anything, really - even if it
IS supposedly 'soft'!

), you'll have exponentially smaller chances of walking away from it!! :yikes:
