There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Hello Everybody,
What do the people on this forum use to clean and keep the flat black parts on the Spyder looking new? It's amazing what a little car wax will do to the look... :gaah:

I use nanowax, quick detailer, or anything, really, for the bike...it doesn't make a difference...

I think Waxing Frenzy is the best product on the market though, if anyone is interested...highest quality carnuba you can get, by far!

As learned from my LT, W started with Armorall, then switched to CanDo, a spray wax product from Saeng-TA. That seems to look and last the best IONSHO.

I have found most products will keep the flat black parts clean, especially with use of a soft brush to scrub them. For waxing and detailing, I use Turtle Wax Ice products on the shiny stuff. They will not leave white residue on the flat brack, rubber, or anything else.

Your all gone to :roflblack: at this one.
I have a cellar full of everything to much to list.
A good one though plain water microfiber dry.
A new microfiber Lemon Pledge gives your machine a nice wet look and saves allot of time:spyder:

Not so much clean them as how to get rid of the white film from wax

Yep, it is not that the items aren't clean, it's that i have gotten wax on them so now I have this lousy white film on them that makes them look like Sheet. I want to either remove the white film or cover it up, which ever.

Dealer told me polish or wax on gloss black parts, flat black just use soapy water and soft sponge. Hand dry. If you try to polish these areas it just smears they said.:gaah:

I use this:

SledBrite Quik Shine.

This is what the dealers use to make sleds (and Spyders, ATV's, Boats, etc.) look really nice in the showroom.

I use this on the whole bike - even my CHAD shield. Helps repel water, bugs, etc.

I love Biokleen products. Used Belly pan cleaner (and black mark remover, I think it's the same thing in a different bottle) to get the black smoke stains off my yellow ski-doo. The only thing that worked. Everything of theirs I've tried works, Snow Proof, Aluma Kleen etc.. Biodegradable and made in Kalamazoo MI.

I didn't know they were a Kalamazoo company --- COOL - gotta keep the local guys in business!

Often, warm, soapy water and a soft brush will remove the white build-up. Be aware that you often cannot tell until it is dry. I have also found that the Turtle Wax Ice liquid polish or detailer will actually remove white marks. It may leave a bit more shine or darkness to the area on some flat black plastic panels, depending on the texture, though, so test in an inconspicuous spot. You may have to use it on the entire panel. One of the best removers for real wax (not synthetic polymer polishes) is "prep-sol", pre-painting automotive wax remover. You can get it in a spray can at most auto parts stores. It doesn't seem to harm most plastics, and will not harm paint, but I would also test it in an inconspicuous spot just to be sure.

I use ultra luster waterless wash it works on anything. Just spray on and wipe off. It washes and polishs at the same time.

Soapy water (dish liquid), water rinse and towel dry. Looks great until I get on the road, then, oh well.:ohyea:

Suzuki spray detailer, in the black spray bottle. Mist it on the wipe till dry. Keeps the flat plastic looking good and protects it a little.

I use Plexus aircraft cleaner. Use it on the whole bike, including the flat black plastic......does wonders for those pesky bug hits...
Does not scratch .. Chief aircraft sells by the case .

I too use the new turtle wax ice and on everything including the dull black panels. Best darn stuff I've ever used. Leaves a wet/brilliant shine on the painted areas and a clean /new look on the black panels.:2thumbs:
